For over 30 years I have enjoyed living close to the South Coast near Winchester, moving near to the banks of the Hamble River in 2018.
I am a largely self taught artist, though I did spend one glorious foundation year at West Surrey College of Art And Design, back when music came as long and flowing as my hair!
After leaving college I fell into the world of pensions where I have remained. Though I retained a keen passive interest in the arts it is only in the last 10 years that my interest in creating art has been rekindled, all thanks to my long suffering ever lovely girlfriend Susan.
My works can be seen in the occasional local show or exhibition. Private viewings can be arranged. Often I exhibit in the Hampshire Open Studios with my partner and her friend under the name “Inspired by our travels” – we often holiday together.
Top tip: always keep a sketch book with you and sketch at every opportunity. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can capture the soul of what you see; so much better than a photograph.
